What is JAPA?

JAPA stands for Junior APA.

APA stands for American Psychological Association.

The American Psychological Association worked out a set of rules to make it easy for everyone to reference their research. 

Lots of people use APA.

Professors use APA.

Teachers use APA.

University students use APA.

At Mentone Girls Grammar, we also use APA

We use APA to make sure that our referencing is correct for our bibliographies.

We use JAPA because we are in Junior School. 

When we are in Senior School we will use APA!

Why it is important for us to use JAPA?

JAPA helps us to set out our referencing in a way that helps our readers see where we got our information from!

It is important for us to use JAPA when doing our research.

When should we use JAPA?

We use JAPA to make our bibliographies whenever we do a research project.

We use JAPA when doing projects in the library.

We use JAPA when doing projects in the classroom.

We use JAPA whenever we are doing some research that others are going to read!
