You can renew a loan twice expect when someone else has placed a reserve on the book. If someone has put a hold on the book you can't renew it, you need to return it to the Library. You will receive an email from the Library catalogue asking you to return the book.

  • When you borrow a book it is stamped with the return date to make it easy to remember when it is due back. You will also get an automatic email reminding you when the book is due back. If you need the book longer you can renew your loan online via the catalogue, or renew it at the Kerferd Library information desk.
What do I do if I have lost or misplaced a book?
  • You will get an automatic email telling you when a book is due for return to the library. If you have lost or misplaced the book don't ignore the email, come and talk to the library staff.
  • Unless the book is on hold to another person, the library staff can extend your loan to give you extra time to find it. The Kerferd Library does not charge overdue fees, but if a student has lost a book there is a fine (the cost of the book) to replace it.
