Login to the EBSCOhost

All content on EBSCOhost is covered by a license agreement. This means access is restricted to current students and staff. If you are on campus you are automatically logged into the EBSCOhost. Off campus you may need to enter your mConnect username and password.

The EBSCOhost databases are located on the Kerferd Library eLibrary collection A to Z list. In the A to Z list you will see the name of the database, a brief description of what it contains and icons showing the type of material available. The red padlock means you need to use your mConnect login in details to access these databases when you are off campus. See figure 1 for details. Click on the database title to login. If you are off campus you may be prompted to reenter your mConnect user name and password. See figure 2 for details.

Selecting a database or databases

When you are logged into the EBSCOhost you can change the database you are using. You can also search on more than one database at the same time. For example, to save time you can search on magazines and journals located in the ANZ Reference Centre, and at the same time search on eBooks located in the K-8 eBook collection. See also the following screen shots for for information on this simple two step process.
