Britannica Encyclopaedia Online is a good database to consult when beginning a project. Use the following link, or the link on the Kerferd Library A-Z list to access Britannica School. If prompted use your School mConnect user name and password to login when off campus.
On the top of the articles in Britannica School there are icons that allow you to: share, favourite, print, cite (the School uses APA), translate, and listen to an article rather than read an article. Use the + and - icons to make the font bigger or smaller.
Use the purple 1, 2, 3 buttons to change the level of reading and article detail. 1 is for Junior School students, 2 is for students in the middle years (year 6 to 8) and 3 is for students in year 9 and above.
For more help use the HELP button located on the top right of the Britannica School web site.
